At Harmony Minds, we provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments for ASD and ADHD. These assessments are thorough and designed to accurately identify characteristics of neurodevelopmental conditions, offering a clear understanding of the individual’s strengths and challenges, and guiding effective treatment plans. Our ASD and ADHD assessments are thorough and detailed, and we aim to provide a deep understanding of each individual’s unique needs and an accurate diagnosis.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessments
We conduct in-depth ASD assessments to help us to understand the individual’s developmental, communication, and behavioural patterns to provide appropriate support and interventions.
Initial Consultation
A detailed discussion with the individual and/or parents/caregivers to understand the concerns, developmental history, and current challenges.
Screening
The screening questionnaire is designed to identify potential signs of neurodevelopmental disorders and determine whether a more comprehensive assessment is needed.
Standardised Assessments
At Harmony Minds, we believe it is beneficial to involve at least two different professionals in the assessment process. Professionals with diverse training backgrounds and experiences provide valuable perspectives, enriching the overall assessment. Therefore, we ensure that at least two different clinicians participate in each assessment, offering a comprehensive and well-rounded evaluation.
We use Gold Standard validated tools such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). These tools are considered gold standards in ASD diagnosis.
ADOS-2 involves structured and semi-structured tasks that allow observation of social interaction, communication, use of materials.
ADI-R is a structured interview conducted with the parents/caregivers to obtain a detailed developmental history.
Feedback and Reporting
A comprehensive report detailing the findings, including strengths and areas of need will be provided. Following a multi-disciplinary meeting, feedback discussion of the findings with the individual and/or parents/caregivers will be provided with recommendations for interventions, educational support, and resources.
